From fixing fishing nets to refurbishing motherboards

Joy is the eldest son of a traditional fisherman in Chittagong. When he wasn't attending school, he was expected to assist in drying nets. Since the Chittagong Coastal Tech Lab opened, Joy found a passion not just in using computers, but in taking them apart and fixing them.

Joy's sponsorship covers his enrollment in our advanced Hardware Refurbishment Fellowship, safety gear, a hardware toolset, and a refurbished ThinkPad laptop. Sponsoring Joy directly funds our hardware recycling chain and nurtures a local technician who can keep his entire community lab running.
